Mustache March

My lil bro is having some sort of competition growing out mustaches this month at work. As you can see by his arms in the pic he is a hairy person.  For some reason he has the hardest time getting decent facial hair, it comes in light and patchy.  So last night we dyed it, I can't even take him seriously looking like that. My dad had a Fu Manchu in the 70s--why did it look so much cooler then, and now just looks creepy?
